VOLTAGE

Voltage is a critical indicator of a battery's state of charge (SoC) and overall health. By continuously measuring voltage levels in real time, the system can prevent overcharging or deep discharging, both of which can shorten battery life. Voltage imbalances between cells can also indicate potential failures, allowing corrective action to be taken before serious performance degradation occurs.

Measuring current in real time provides insight into the battery's charge and discharge cycles. Excessive current draw can indicate system faults, short circuits, or unexpected load conditions. Monitoring current helps to optimise energy efficiency, prevent overheating and protect the battery from excessive stress, ensuring longer operational life.

TEMPERATURE

Temperature fluctuations can have a significant impact on battery performance and safety. Overheating can lead to thermal runaway, which can cause fire or catastrophic failure. Cold temperatures reduce efficiency and increase internal resistance. By tracking temperature changes, the system can adjust operating parameters to maintain optimal performance and safety.

Reduction of components

Pulsetrain is a 5-in-1 solution that integrates the OBC, BMS, Inverter, MCU, and DC/DC into a single unit. This significantly reduces the number of components, minimizing wiring complexity and shortening assembly time. As a result, production efficiency increases, enabling faster assembly in the factory.

Charging and performance

Thanks to pulse charging technology, Pulsetrain enables more efficient and up to twice as fast charging compared to conventional methods. This process is not only faster but also healthier for the battery. The system supports both AC and DC charging, with charging power matching the achievable motor power.

Lifetime increasement

The system ensures increased battery longevity by intelligently managing cell performance. The weakest cell is no longer a limiting factor, as it experiences reduced stress. In case of a cell failure, the system can simply bypass the faulty cell, allowing the vehicle to continue operating without interruptions. Additionally, pulse charging contributes to an extended battery lifespan by optimizing the charging process.

Safety

High voltage (HV) is only active during operation, while low voltage (LV) is maintained at all other times. This eliminates the need for special HV training during assembly, improving workplace safety and simplifying the installation process.
